Treatment Programs in Washington

Washington State is home to some of the finest treatment programs in the nation. Finding the right treatment center can sometimes be a complicated process. With so many of them in the United States alone, beginning the search can be quite intimidating. Whether you live in or near WA state you can rest assured that you’re not far from a great treatment program. As with most things in recovery, a one-size fits all approach rarely works. Not every treatment center is going to be the same or offer the services you need. Just as the cause of addiction is different for everyone, a treatment program may or may not be the best choice for you.

Washington State lends itself to an intimate recovery setting, with its mountainous terrain full of calm and privacy. This makes a perfect place to regain focus on one’s life and being the process of recovery. Many programs in Washington State focus on an integrative, full-service treatment that beings in a medical detox, and carry’s through to long-term aftercare. This approach to continuum of care has found to be extremely effective. It allows guests of the program to begin making relationships with staff and fellow guests early on. Relationships that will continue on through the rest of treatment, and beyond.

Inpatient treatment programs in Washington State are the most well-known kind of addiction rehab. They offer a private setting to recovery from substance abuse and addiction. With less distractions, it’s easier to look closer into the underlying causes of addiction, and get to the root of the problem. During inpatient, residents remain on the premises of the facility and are closely monitored for safety. A foundation of recovery is built during the treatment process, preparing guests for the next phase of treatment.

Intensive outpatient treatment is the next step after an inpatient program for those serious about their recovery. Guests here are given much more freedom, as compared to inpatient treatment. Intensive group and individual therapy are scheduled throughout the day. Frequency of therapy varies between every day for several hours a day, to only a few hours a week, depending on the individual. Some programs even allow guests to create their own schedules.

Depending on treatment programs different types of therapies are offered. Individual and group therapies are common and integrated into most programs. There will be variations in what kind of groups are offered. Some examples of different groups are: identifying triggers, relapse prevention, anger management, stress management, and trauma resolution.
