Troy Spray
Executive Director
Troy Spray serves as the dedicated Executive Director for Royal Life Centers’ detox, inpatient, and outpatient facilities in Prescott, Arizona. He first started as the Director of Operations role and was promoted to this position. In this role, he oversees five facilities offering comprehensive levels of care, including detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), outpatient (OP), and sober living programs. As a leader, Troy ensures that every aspect of operation reflects Royal Life Centers’ mission to compassionately support individuals on their journey to recovery, fostering a profound connection with Royal’s core values.
Troy began his career helping students in the Anchorage School District. In 2007, Troy and his family moved to Utah where he began working at a Residential Treatment Facility. The facility helped families dealing with substance abuse, suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, and self-worth issues. Over his 12-year career there, Troy wanted to understand every role. He worked as night watch staff, program director, marketing director, in admissions, and in leadership. This gave him insight into each position and allowed him to support staff effectively.
In 2019, after struggling to find insurance-based care for his own son, Troy founded an 18-bed adolescent acute care hospital in Southern Utah, which later expanded to 50 beds. After selling his ownership in 2022, his enduring passion for helping others led him to seek a company with similar values, eventually finding Royal Life Centers.
Troy’s leadership goes way beyond just managing day-to-day tasks. He’s a mentor and guide for Royal Life Centers’ leadership teams, helping everything run smoothly across clinical, medical, and operational departments. His focus on teamwork and innovative ideas ensures we’re always delivering top-notch patient care, safety, and compliance. Troy is all about connecting with every client in a meaningful way, making sure they feel supported and valued from the very first interaction.
