Employee Benefit Management Services
"*" indicates required fields
Employee Benefit Management Services (EBMS) insurance offers healthcare plans that can assist you in paying for addiction treatment services. If you or someone you know is struggling with a substance use disorder, one of the most important things you’re probably considering is how to get treatment. It’s no secret that a high-quality drug and alcohol treatment center can be costly. Most people will look to their health insurance coverage to help pay for these costs.
Key Takeaways
- EBMS is not traditional insurance. Employee Benefit Management Services (EBMS) is a third-party administrator (TPA) that manages employer-sponsored health plans—your employer typically funds the coverage, not an insurance carrier.
- Coverage depends on your employer’s specific plan. Because EBMS administers custom, self-funded plans, benefits for rehab, detox, and mental health treatment vary based on your employer’s coverage details.
- Pre-authorization and eligibility checks are often required. EBMS reviews claims and determines medical necessity, so verifying coverage before treatment is critical to avoid unexpected costs. Verify your insurance here.
- Out-of-pocket costs vary widely. Deductibles, copays, and coinsurance depend on your plan design—two employees with EBMS may have very different financial responsibility.
- Verifying your benefits is the fastest way to understand coverage. Since plans are customized, the most accurate way to know what’s covered is to complete a benefits verification or speak directly with an admissions/insurance team.

Health insurance is not required, so if you don’t have insurance we can discuss payment options for the treatment program(s) you have decided on. Our programs have always been affordable so that the cost of treatment doesn’t become a burden on families and loved ones. This step can be tackled in your initial call, or you the admissions process can be expedited if you verify your insurance online.
3.
Do a 5-10 minute pre-assessment
This pre-assessment takes place over the phone and takes a short amount of time. During the pre-assessment, the individual looking to enter our treatment program will be asked questions about their drinking/drug use history, medical history, motivation for treatment, and current health conditions.
4.
Pick a day/time
Schedule a date and time you would like to come into the facility to formally admit.
