Treatment for Veterans at Royal Life Centers
Drug & Alcohol Treatment through the VA
Treatment for drug and alcohol abuse that specializes in treating veterans.
Treatment will be completely covered by your health insurance, just get a referral from a VA health center. Our Valor program was designed specifically for veterans of the United States military. We offer this program to you, with inpatient or outpatient options. All led by our expert clinicians.
Drug and Alcohol Treatment Covered by VA Insurance
Veteran populations have a higher potential for substance abuse and long-term mental health implications as a result of their service. Thanking you is hardly enough to show the gratitude we have for you, your commitment, and your dedication to serving our country— we designed a program that’s tailored to your needs and unique experiences. Our specialized “Valor” track is offered in every location and program at Royal Life Centers.
Our Drug & Alcohol Rehabilitation Programs
Medically-Assisted Detox
Our detox program utilizes FDA-approved medications to counter any withdrawal symptoms. As your body is brought back to equilibrium by our doctors, you will attend individual and group therapy sessions. This program ranges in length, although 8 days is most typical. Your drug/alcohol use history and medical condition are some factors that determine the length of this program.
Residential Inpatient
This is the most significant step in the recovery process. During inpatient, we will uncover the root causes of your substance abuse and help you to work through any ingrained core beliefs or intrusive thoughts that hold you back. Additionally, we address any mental health disorders through specialized therapies and/or medication management.
Outpatient Programs
We offer a long-term program, our 12-week program, which seamlessly transitions you through all three levels of our outpatient care. In addition, we offer a partial-hospitalization program, intensive outpatient program, and outpatient program. All outpatient programs can be attended with or without enrolling in our sober living houses, although it is recommended.
Trauma, Depression, PTSD and other factors can contribute to substance abuse. Drugs and alcohol are often used as tools to cope with the effects of these underlying conditions. In an effort to suppress or remove the feelings, memories, or thoughts, people are likely to abuse drugs or alcohol. This behavior of self-medicating is one path that often leads to the progressive condition of addiction. Addiction doesn’t develop from a lack of discipline, it results from the persistence of pain and your efforts to get rid of that pain.
At Royal Life Centers, we have dedicated over 13 years to providing an alternative solution for individuals who are struggling. We tackle the reasons you need to cope, not the behavior of coping. Our team is made up mostly of individuals who are in recovery themselves— bringing you face-to-face with living, breathing proof that recovery is possible.

Highlights of our Valor Programming
Trauma Therapy
We offer therapy specifically targeted to relieve the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety that results from trauma. One of our techniques is Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), which is proven to alleviate PTSD symptoms much faster than Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and other trauma therapies. ART provides results in just 3 sessions, as opposed to 11 sessions of EMDR.
Relatability
You must be a veteran to enroll in our Valor program, which means during your treatment you will have a community of other veterans who genuinely understand your point of view and experiences. Strength comes in numbers and is formed through connections. We know your experiences cannot be understood by those who have not served.
Fitness
We believe physical wellness has a large impact on everything else during your recovery. This is why we provide a gym membership for you during treatment. At some of our locations, we have a private gym on-site. Regular fitness will ensure a strong body and a strong mind. If going to the gym isn't your thing, we also offer hiking, rock-climbing, and other fitness-oriented activities.
