Cathleen Kennedy, MPC, LPC
Clinical Director
Cathleen Kennedy, MPC, LPC, is the clinical director for our three treatment centers in Arizona. In her role, she oversees clinical operations and leads a team of therapists, group facilitators, intake specialists, and case managers to provide exceptional care to those in recovery. Her dedication to our facilities ensures that guests in Royal Life Centers’ Arizona detox, men’s residential rehab, and inpatient and outpatient treatment center receive the best possible care.
Cathleen earned her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2017 and is a certified Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) therapist. Her journey in behavioral health began in 2009 as a line staff member at a therapeutic boarding school, where she discovered her passion for helping others—a passion that motivated her to pursue advanced education and licensure.
Since then, Cathleen has built a diverse and impactful career, taking on roles including counselor, therapist, acting supervisor, and clinical director. Through these positions, she has developed expertise in counseling, employee management, compliance, and court-related services. Her work with the Department of Child Safety honed her ability to navigate complex legal requirements and timelines, while her experience in educational settings deepened her understanding of group dynamics and curriculum development. Cathleen’s extensive background reflects her commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those she serves.
Cathleen is driven by a belief that no one should face life’s challenges alone. Counseling is more than a profession for her—it’s a calling. Inspired by counseling literature in junior high and fueled by personal courage, she finds immense fulfillment in helping clients achieve breakthroughs and transform their lives. Cathleen Kennedy exemplifies professionalism and empathy, serving as a guiding presence for both staff and clients at Royal Life Centers.
