Brooke McCormick

Executive Director

Brooke McCormick serves as the dedicated Executive Director for Royal Life Centers’ detox, inpatient, and outpatient facilities in Prescott, Arizona. In this role, she oversees five facilities offering comprehensive levels of care, including detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), outpatient (OP), and sober living programs. As a leader, Brooke ensures that every aspect of operation reflects Royal Life Centers’ mission to compassionately support individuals on their journey to recovery, fostering a profound connection with the organization’s core values.

Brooke’s leadership extends beyond day-to-day management. She provides mentorship and guidance to Royal Life Centers’ leadership teams, fostering alignment across clinical, medical, and operational departments. Her focus on collaboration and forward-thinking initiatives helps maintain the highest standards of patient care, safety, and compliance. Additionally, Brooke emphasizes building supportive and meaningful engagement with every client, ensuring they feel empowered from the moment they walk through our doors.

Brooke’s journey into the behavioral health field began in 2019 when she worked as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) at a local dual-diagnosis and substance abuse treatment center. Inspired by the transformative work taking place at Royal Life Centers, she joined the team in October 2021 as a BHT. Her passion, dedication, and exceptional leadership quickly set her apart, leading her to advance through several roles, including Lead BHT, BHT Supervisor, Director of Operations, and ultimately, Executive Director.

Known for her vibrant energy and positivity, Brooke is a cornerstone of the Royal Life Centers team. Her signature phrases, “It’s a great day for a great day” and the ever-enthusiastic “Oof!” have made her a source of positivity and joy throughout the organization.

Brooke earned her degree in government from Virginia Commonwealth University and served as an Official Election Officer in Virginia for six years. During this time, she also interned in Community Relations at a public relations firm in Alexandria, VA, focusing on grassroots advocacy and public policy challenges.

After her political experience, Brooke transitioned to the restaurant industry, taking on roles such as Special Services Coordinator, Event and Marketing Director, and eventually becoming a restaurateur for acclaimed restaurants across the East Coast and Arizona. These roles sharpened her leadership and organizational skills while fostering connections with diverse communities.

Brooke has also volunteered as an assisted living aide with a non-profit licensed by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in securing employment and achieving their goals.

Her personal recovery journey eventually led Brooke into the behavioral health field, where she embraced a mission of connection and understanding. She finds inspiration in A. Warner’s quote: “Beneath every behavior, there is a feeling. And beneath every feeling, there is a need. And when we meet that need rather than focus on the behavior, we begin to deal with the cause, not the symptom.” This philosophy underscores her approach to working with individuals struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Brooke is passionate about advocating for others until they can advocate for themselves. She finds immense fulfillment in witnessing the transformative moment when someone who has felt lost begins to find their way, as if a light has been reignited in their eyes.

In her free time, Brooke cherishes laughter and quality moments with her husband and 13-year-old daughter. As a family, they enjoy Sundays at church and make it a priority to connect with extended family whenever possible.
