Detox Services

Prior to any detoxification services, Royal Life Centers must collect the necessary information to ensure the safety of our guests and the successfulness of the detox.  In addition to answering any questions about our program, the Royal Life Addiction Specialists in Admissions perform your pre-assessment. During which, admissions will ask you questions regarding your insurance, the substance or substances being used, the length of your current withdrawal, and additional information to understand your unique circumstances. To begin your pre-assessment and begin treatment, please reach out to our addiction specialists now.

After your pre-assessment, the admissions department will inform you of the availability at the locations most convenient for you. Once deciding on one of Royal Life Centers’ eight locations across the Pacific Northwest and Southwest, admissions will explain the transportation options and narrow down the best time for your arrival.

Pre-Detox Services

Now at the facility, guests will receive an initial clinical evaluation, the biopsychosocial assessment, conducted by our therapists and counselors to assess the unique factors that contribute to your substance use disorder. For this reason, our holistic assessment approaches each guest’s addiction as a complex development, influenced by different events and experiences with their life. For this reason, we understand that addictions do not exist in a vacuum — biology, psychology, and sociocultural elements all build upon one another to create an addiction. In addition, Royal Life Centers knows that addiction treatment is successful when you not only look at the person but their environment.

For example, questions on the biopsychosocial assessment can include:

  • What drugs and/or alcohol do you use?
  • How often do you drink and/or do drugs?
  • Do you have any mental disorders diagnoses?
  • How would you describe yourself?
  • Do you have a personal or family history of drug or alcohol abuse?
  • How much support do you expect from friends and family?
  • How much stress do you experience from your job?

Thorough assessments performed prior to our detox services provide Royal clinicians with information that determines the length of your detox and the medications required, if any, to safely remove the toxic substances from your system.

Additional steps in the pre-detox and detox process:

  • Admission forms
  • Consent to treatment forms
  • Medical history and physical
  • Pertinent blood work and urine testing

Drug and Alcohol Detox Services

Royal Life Center provides an extensive continuum of care throughout its many addiction treatment facilities. One of the first steps of drug and alcohol rehabilitation is undergoing a medical detox. Royal’s detoxification services aid guests as they rid their bodies of the addictive substances. While in one of our detox facilities, staff monitor the progress of each guest as the toxins are removed in a safe, clinical environment. Moreover, the medically-assisted detox helps alleviate the adverse effects of withdrawal, limiting the discomfort, and proactively treating potentially deadly symptoms such as seizures and DTs. During detox, guests are provided support and care by a team of medical professionals experienced in addiction treatment safety protocols.

Our detox services include:

  • A safe, stable, and comfortable environment throughout treatment
  • 24/7 monitoring and care from medical professionals with specialized training in addiction withdrawal treatment
  • Medication-assisted detox (when needed)
  • Case-by-case assessments that allow for therapeutic treatment during detox
  • Medication management for the residual side effects (if any)
  • Medication management for co-occurring disorders (when present)
  • Seamless transition from detox to inpatient residential care

At Royal Life Centers, we understand the serious nature of withdrawal and implement every safety precaution and treatment practice to ensure the comfort of our guests. Our detox services give each guest the safe, stable environment needed for a successful detox from drugs and alcohol.
