What is Telehealth?

Virtual Addiction Therapy

Telehealth means you are able to receive help when and where you need it. It has improved accessibility to care tremendously, which we are always on board with. As a leader in addiction treatment, we have remained top-of-the-field by evolving with our guests' needs.

We make our award-winning treatment programs available to you from wherever you are. All you need is a connection to Wifi, and a phone, tablet, or computer.

Benefits of Telehealth

Telehealth Treatment

Why it's important to us to offer virtual treatment options

Increased accessibility to treatment

Many people don't have the ability to attend a traditional, in-person rehab program because they don't have access, whether it be geographically, financially, or otherwise.

Flexibility in treatment via telehealth

Due to the nature of telehealth treatment, programming allows for individuals to customize the structure of their treatment and ongoing therapy sessions.

You don't have to arrange for your absence

Many people have obligations like work, raising children, taking care of the household, caring for a pet. These are all factors they must arrange to be taken care of if they leave home to attend treatment.

Access to the best care, from your safe space

Telehealth doesn't disrupt your life, it allows for you to continue living whilst attending treatment. Each day will be strengthened by the clinical work you do with your therapist.

royal life centers
telehealth drug and alcohol treatment

We offer therapy sessions and medical appointments from the comfort of your own home. Your recovery can happen in a safe, private space with 24/7 access to clinical and medical professionals who will help you ease into this first step into recovery.

For your convenience and ultimate success in recovery, we now offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) through our telehealth programming. Our doctor will prescribe FDA-approved medication to treat your withdrawal symptoms and cravings for a comfortable experience stepping out of addiction and into a life free from the shackles of depending on a substance.

With over a decade of experience in helping others better their lives, we will help you recover one step at a time.

Programs

We offer all of our programs in a telehealth format. We are proud to make our top-rated, tried and true programs available to more people who need help getting sober.

Medical Detox

A medically-assisted detox program, that ranges in length from 4 to 8 days, depending on your withdrawal symptoms. Therapy is included during detox.

Telehealth Available

Inpatient

Our residential inpatient program ranges from 14 to 30 days. This is our most therapeutically-structured and intensive program, with 5 hours of therapy/day.

Telehealth Available

MAT in recovery

PHP

PHP or partial-hospitalization program is just a clinical way of describing treatment that has structured therapy with a medical component to monitor and manage symptoms. PHP is the first of three phases in our 12 week step-down program.

Our 12 week program follows a long-term care approach that improves treatment outcomes significantly.

Telehealth Available

IOP/OP

We offer both intensive outpatient and outpatient programs. Intensive outpatient (IOP) constitutes the last two phases of our 12-week program. Our outpatient program can be joined at any time, and is the least restrictive, most flexible treatment option. Designed for those who are currently working or needed in their household and already have support systems in place.

Telehealth Available

Therapy

We employ master's-level clinicians to design your treatment plan and guide you through the clinical work to uncover the root causes of your substance abuse.

Some of the therapies we use to achieve this include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Holistic Therapies (yoga, breathwork, meditation).

Sumner Treatment Center

We also offer MAT within our telehealth programming.

MAT Medications we utilize at Royal Life Centers

We use only FDA-approved medications for medication-assisted treatment. MAT at Royal is designed to support an MAT approach for individuals with an opioid use disorder or alcohol use disorder. These medications are approved to treat only these two substance use disorders, currently.

For Opioid Use Disorder (OUD)

For Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) + Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD)

For Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD)

Suboxone

A buprenorphine-based medication with naloxone (opioid antagonist) added to block the effects of opioids. It attaches to the opioid receptor in the brain and blocks it.

Subutex

A derivative of Suboxone without the addition of Naloxone. Subutex is a buprenorphine-based, partial agonist used for those who have an allergy to Naloxone.

Naltrexone

An opioid antagonist, which means it blocks the opioid receptor in the brain. Most people recognize naltrexone by the brand name Vivitrol©

Campral

An oral medication for the treatment of AUD. Campral (generic Acamprosate) works by reducing cravings by making the behavior of drinking alcohol unappealing.

Frequently Asked Questions

You could call today and get set up later in the day. You may get scheduled later in the week, this all depends on availability as we maintain a small caseload for our clinicians and doctors. This way, each guest is able to receive personalized care and attention during their treatment.

The easiest way to find out our availability is by calling our admissions department.

Yes, we offer telehealth for all of our programs. Our goal in launching telehealth was to create greater accessibility to our programs and treatment in general.

Yes, you can. We are proud to offer this option within telehealth, as it creates opportunity for more people to get help despite a busy schedule, ongoing employment, etc.

Whatever the circumstance, we do have treatment options for you. If you have a particularly difficult case, we will work with you to identify your needs and find a solution— even if you don’t attend treatment with us, we are more than happy to help you find a place that provides what will work for you.

Keep in mind that medications used for MAT are FDA-approved only for the treatment of opioid use disorder and alcohol use disorder currently.

MAT at our treatment center is highly effective in treating addictions to:

  • alcohol
  • heroin
  • fentanyl
  • other synthetic opioids
  • prescription pain medications (Percocet, Percodan, Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, etc.)
  • methadone

Our locations in Washington include:

  • Lacey, Washington
  • Sumner, Washington
  • Spokane, Washington
  • Mead, Washington

Our locations in Arizona include:

  • Prescott, Arizona

In Arizona, we have gender-specific programming during our inpatient programs. We offer a Women’s-only program and Men’s-only program, both in Prescott as well.

Our program length is highly customizable, to best fit what you need to achieve a solid foundation for lasting sobriety. Our detox program is either 4 or 8 days, depending on the severity of your withdrawal symptoms. Residential Inpatient is a 2-week accelerated program, but can be extended to 30 days at your request. We offer a long-term treatment program that is 12 weeks in length. This long-term option is a step-down program that spans our partial-hositalization program and two phases of intensive outpatient treatment. If you wanted to do our full continuum of care, you would be looking at a length of about 4-5 months total.

Our full continuum of care (detox, residential, and the 12-week program) is a little more than 3 months in length, however, if you wanted to continue care with us on an outpatient level, we also offer outpatient programming through telehealth, or in-person. We do offer housing if you would like to live in our sober living residences during your treatment. Our sober living residences are close to our clinical building, and offer a range of amenities alongside a built-in full-time sober living staff and transportation services to and from 12-step meetings, the grocery store, and even outside doctor/dental appointments.

The way our programs are structured allow for you to choose which therapy types you would like to use, as well as which group therapy courses you would like, based on your needs and goals. Our therapies include, but are not limited to: rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), motivational enhancement therapy, accelerated resolution therapy (ART), music therapy, equine therapy (therapy with horses), experiential therapy, biofeedback, etc.

We do integrate our curriculum with 12-step support groups like Alcoholic’s Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and 12-step themes, however we offer and support multiple programs of recovery. We use an abstinence-based, holistic model of addiction treatment.

"From intake to care, proper, knowledgeable and caring medical staff that gave individual care to everyone there; it made such a hard thing (going through detox) so comfortable. Loved that we all had our own rooms, snacks available at all times, smoke breaks when we need it, amazing counselors, speakers in intimate groups. The staff have such personal knowledge of what you may be going through that there is compassion and love. This gave me the reset that I needed when I thought that I was going to die. I can’t say enough good things about this place (even through this COVID stuff) they handle everything with efficiency, cleanliness and caring. I will only recommend Royal Life Centers to anyone who asks. 💜 Much love and respect to all the staff, chef, nurses, crew, maintenance, group leaders, nighttime staff and independent inspiring speakers that came in on their own time!!"

"This place saved my life. I had lost the will to live and was reading these reviews just like you are now and decided to check myself in. It was the best decision I have ever made. The people at Royal genuinely care about you and the majority of the staff have a personal understanding of addiction and its horrible toll. Their sympathy and caring can not be conveyed with simple words. The Royal program is extensive and well thought out and can change you so thoroughly the results can be breathtaking. Royal gave me my life back. Gave me my kids back. Gave me my job back. Gave me Me back. No matter how broken you are, how hopeless you've become there is a way back and these people can put you back together again if you let them. An awesome life is waiting for you if you want it!"

"This place is great the whole staff was awesome and all the residents were there too I definitely recommend going. I went through a lot of treatment centers in the VA and they always let us have our phones and I'm so glad that they actually take them here away cuz it's such a distraction when you're trying to concentrate on yourself. The food was great and you get your own room too also they live by their motto and they do care. Thank you guys again!"

"This place was by far the most amazing Treatment Center and detox that anyone could ever hope for! The staff is absolutely amazing they truly genuinely care about your well being I am beyond grateful for every single one of them! They dont allow you to not feel uncomfortable. If detoxing from opiates you can choose to do a suboxone taper and its the best option by far so when u leave your not on any mind altering substance and for me thats what i wanted more then anything to truly be 100% clean! They helped me achieve that when i wasnt capable of doing it on my own. Thank you royal life center for helping me get myself back and my family words cant explain how grateful I am for each and every one of you!"

"Hello Lacey Royal's Team!! "I have no idea what to say to do this place justice. Do they have some minor issues that they are working though of course. But in general this place is Amazing! The staff from the boss to the chefs where such kind and caring people! The main staff members that run the front desk and keep track of everyone (I forgot their title) are so awesome they have such big hearts and are always there to help if you need anything! I'm not sure if I am allowed to say staff names so to be safe I won't, but my counselor (I hope she reads this) was so amazing she helped me so much. And I have to mention the male night staff person that is 19 years old, he helped me see life though my kids eyes and that made a huge difference in me wanting to stay sober. Thank you so much Royals and hope to be back in the future to see about volunteering."

"Royal Life Centers of Spokane, was an amazing rehabilitation experience, The staff there truly cares about each individuals wellbeing and understand the long tedious process on the road to recovery. The programs that they have help you understand addiction as well as showing you the endless joy that comes along with sobriety. The detox center was amazing and the food was excellent, But the real growth starts within their 9 week program and Graduate aftercare. The whole experience at Royal Life Centers was truly a blessing at the lowest point in my life. I spent 14 months in their hand from detox to their graduate housing and aftercare. Today I am 2 years and 4 months clean thanks to My Royal life family."

"Only one good thing has come from my predisposition to relapse. I have become somewhat of an expert on Rehab. This place is the best for sure."

"I recommend this detox fully for anyone that’s ready to change there life! I did a 4 day medical detox and stayed for the residential inpatient program the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was beneficial to my recovery. I truly loved the group facilitators and the cultural ceremonies of the local native tribes."

"Here at Royal you are a guest, not a patient. They treat you with respect and are willing to help you with any means necessary. The staff here is consistent about checking in with you on not only your progress at the program but how you are feeling as a person, emotionally, physically and mentally. Including caring for your everyday needs, the other guests become your brothers and sisters as we are all here for the same reason, to become a better version of ourselves. Giving you the tools to create your own future and helping you step into a fast pace world. I highly recommend Royal Life Centers to anyone who wishes to make a positive impact on themselves and the people they surround themselves with."

"There is only one thing that matters about a treatment center and that is what results they get for the people staying there. In my case I was able to connect with some excellent professionals who were able to get me to think differently... they convinced me to hang in there day by day as ill as I was, and then to move on to the next level of the Royal treatment which is where I am learning to live properly again. These people really do care about each individual. This treatment is more effective than many more fancy programs and is excellent for alcoholics and addicts alike. I would recommend no other place for recovery."

"Royal life is an extremely special place. Royal life centers saved my life. I have been to many rehabs and nothing can ever compare to this place. The staff is absolutely amazing and so caring. They do alot of one on one help and really go the extra mile for their clients. I truly love this place."

"My experience at Sumner Royal Life Centers went excellent. I walked in with the belief I was going to learn how to deal with my addiction, but left realizing I had core issues which I needed to cope with and the addiction was a side affect of those issues. The staff were wonderful, it was obvious in the couple days how much they cared about assisting each client. I would certainly recommend Royal Life Centers to anyone."

"The staff, councilors and facility are top notch. Very friendly atmosphere for a positive learning and healing experience. They worked seamlessly with the VA for post recovery care. The medical staff are very knowledgeable and caring."

"Royal Life centers completely changed my life. I had lost all hope that a life in sobriety could be possible for a person who had struggled for so long to no avail. Royal gave me the chance to stay sober and figure out who I was and who I could be. The staff that was there were the most amazing and supportive group I have ever encountered and they believed in me when I could not believe in myself. I will forever be grateful for the Royal life community."

"As a mother of an addict, this place saved my daughters life and gave me back my best friend! The people and processes here make a new life a reality for people who were at their lowest place! The tools and sincerity of the staff makes people WANT to be and do better and helps teach them the ways to do so! I wish I could give a million stars, as without this place I truly feel we would be planning a funeral, not the rest of our beautiful life as a family! THANK YOU ROYAL! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

Where we believe everybody deserves to be living their dream life.

We believe that overcoming past and present adversity serves as an asset that allows for self-growth and the changing of behaviors.

We aim to shift guests’ perspective from seeing addiction as a life sentence to seeing recovery as an inquisitive, unique and enthralling experience to find their higher selves. So, once a passion is sparked and a flame is ignited, the perceived “need” for drugs and alcohol diminishes and is replaced with a craving to experience life with clarity. Guests gain the self-love and self-respect to finally want a better way of life because they realize they deserve to grow and flourish in the world. “Because We Care,” not only do we teach individuals how to reclaim their lives, we empower them to re-integrate the forgotten parts of self in order to attain self-reliance.

Our Admissions Process

When you are asking for help, it’s important to streamline the process as much as possible to get you help right away. Since we’ve been helping people for over a decade, we have made our admissions process simple and quick.

Here is how the admissions process works.

1.

Contact us

You can call us directly, send an email to admissions, fill out an insurance verification form, or submit a request for us to contact you

2.

Check your health insurance coverage

If you plan to use your health insurance to cover treatment, we will need to gather your insurance information. Health insurance is not required, so if you don’t have insurance we can discuss payment options for the treatment program(s) you have decided on.

3.

Do a 5-10 minute pre-assessment

This pre-assessment takes place over the phone and takes 5-10 minutes with the individual looking to enter our treatment program.

4.

Pick a day/time

Schedule a date and time you would like to come into the facility to formally admit.

5.

Get started

Come to the facility or join your first telehealth session at the time you scheduled! Let’s do this. If we have arranged your flight from out-of-state, we will keep tabs on your flight and have a driver pick you up from the airport when you arrive.
