We accept
AHCCCS insurance
Although we are a private treatment center, it is in our mission to make treatment for drugs and alcohol accessible to all who need it. We are proud to accept some AHCCCS plans through Arizona’s medicaid program.
Programs
Our programs at Royal Life Centers in Arizona are gender-specific during the inpatient portions of treatment.

Medical Detox
A medically-assisted detox program, that ranges in length from 4 to 8 days, depending on your withdrawal symptoms. Daily therapy is included during detox. Our detox program will include medications that our doctor will prescribe to keep you safe and comfortable during the detox process. We offer a private bedroom option to provide you with the utmost comfort and relaxation during your detox.

Inpatient
Our residential inpatient program ranges from 14 to 30 days. This is our most therapeutically-structured and intensive program, with 5 hours of therapy/day. During this program, you will be living and attending therapy with peers of the same gender. Our men's program takes place in a male-only facility, while our women's program is in a female-only facility. This prevents distractions during treatment, among other benefits.

IOP/OP
We offer both intensive outpatient and outpatient programs. Intensive outpatient (IOP) is the perfect next step after inpatient treatment. IOP provides more freedom while still maintaining structure and skill-building. Our outpatient program is the least restrictive, most flexible treatment option. Designed for those who are currently working and already have support systems in place. This program is co-ed.
Medical Detox

our medical detox is covered by AHCCCS insurance
Top-Rated Medical Detox
Our medical detox program prioritizes your safety, comfort, and success in sobriety. We take a medication-assisted treatment (MAT) approach during detox, to ease symptoms of withdrawal and provide you with comfort during a process that is notoriously uncomfortable and feared.
Our doctors and nursing staff are very experienced in addiction medicine and have years of experience to guide your medical treatment protocol.

Inpatient Treatment
The best inpatient program for drug and alcohol addiction
MAT option
At Royal, we offer a medication-assisted treatment (MAT) option during all of our programs, including residential inpatient and our outpatient programs too. This is a helpful avenue for managing cravings and is especially helpful for chronic relapsers.
Gender-specific
We chose to make our residential inpatient program gender-specific. Why? It prevents distractions, eliminates the possibility of female/male-dependency, reduces the likelihood of leaving AMA (against medical advice), and promotes a close-knit community of support and friendship.
Caring staff
The great majority of our staff members are in recovery. Being surrounded by those who have overcome their own addictions changes the treatment experience. There is no one better or more qualified to help you and give advice than those who have gone through the same process themselves.
Access to the best care, from your safe space
Telehealth doesn't disrupt your life, it allows for you to continue living whilst attending treatment. Each day will be strengthened by the clinical work you do with your therapist.

Therapy
We employ master's-level clinicians to design your treatment plan and guide you through the clinical work to uncover the root causes of your substance abuse.
Some of the therapies we use to achieve this include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Holistic Therapies (yoga, breathwork, meditation).

We offer maintenance programs within our treatment programming. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is a great option for many people who have tried getting and staying sober before, but were unable to. MAT is also helpful for those who experience post-acute withdrawal syndrome (PAWS). PAWS is essentially an extension of withdrawal symptoms, except these symptoms last for 3-6 months and make it really hard to maintain sobriety due to the discomfort and strength of drug or alcohol cravings. Talk to one of our specialists and together we can decide what will work best for you.

MAT Medications we utilize at Royal Life Centers
We use only FDA-approved medications for medication-assisted treatment. MAT at Royal is designed to support an MAT approach for individuals with an opioid use disorder or alcohol use disorder. These medications are approved to treat only these two substance use disorders, currently.
For Opioid Use Disorder (OUD)
For Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) + Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD)
For Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD)
Suboxone
A buprenorphine-based medication with naloxone (opioid antagonist) added to block the effects of opioids. It attaches to the opioid receptor in the brain and blocks it.
Subutex
A derivative of Suboxone without the addition of Naloxone. Subutex is a buprenorphine-based, partial agonist used for those who have an allergy to Naloxone.
Naltrexone
An opioid antagonist, which means it blocks the opioid receptor in the brain. Most people recognize naltrexone by the brand name Vivitrol©
Campral
An oral medication for the treatment of AUD. Campral (generic Acamprosate) works by reducing cravings by making the behavior of drinking alcohol unappealing.
Specialty Programs
At Royal Life Centers, we customize your therapy sessions and our therapeutic offerings to meet your individual needs. Not everyone can recover in the same way, which is why our approach has always been person-centered. You can have programming from one, some, or all of our specialty programs because your treatment plan is completely individualized.
Valor Program
For military veterans or active duty military personnel.
Native Program
For tribal members who benefit from building a foundation for recovery upon cultural values and beliefs.

Our IOP/OP program that offers longer-term treatment for those who need structured support after inpatient treatment.

We believe that overcoming past and present adversity serves as an asset that allows for self-growth and the changing of behaviors.
We aim to shift guests’ perspective from seeing addiction as a life sentence to seeing recovery as an inquisitive, unique and enthralling experience to find their higher selves. So, once a passion is sparked and a flame is ignited, the perceived “need” for drugs and alcohol diminishes and is replaced with a craving to experience life with clarity. Guests gain the self-love and self-respect to finally want a better way of life because they realize they deserve to grow and flourish in the world. “Because We Care,” not only do we teach individuals how to reclaim their lives, we empower them to re-integrate the forgotten parts of self in order to attain self-reliance.
