A Detox Center for Drugs and Alcohol

We offer our top-rated drug and alcohol detox center in Prescott, Arizona.

Ready to get started?

Your call is strictly confidential, we adhere to HIPAA guidelines for the protection of your identity and health information.

24/7 Help, Free Consultation and No Obligations.

Over a decade ago, medical professionals and clinicians collaborated to design programs that would complement the changes in the mind, body, and spirit during the recovery process from drugs or alcohol. Fifteen years later, we offer this programming in eight locations— three of which are in Arizona.

A balanced mix of quality, evidence-based medical care from professionals who are experienced in addiction medicine, met with clinical excellence carried out by masters-level clinicians who are experts in this field. Our programs provide treatment that’s proven to be effective, with holistic therapeutics that stabilize the intensive clinical work that will see you through to recovery.

We are driven completely by our passion for helping the next person. It is our mission to offer our help to the individual who is struggling, just like we once were. We want you to know that no matter how society labels you, no matter how you've been treated, no matter how the world sees you, and no matter how you see yourself, the only thing that we see is your potential.

At some point along the way, you wanted to feel better and you chose the fastest way to get there. Over time, it became your only way to get that relief. The issue is that the shortcut to feeling better is also the least reliable and the shortest-lasting. It also causes problems in your relationships, family, work, school, health, and it's incredibly expensive, dangerous, and chronic.

We are here to help you reclaim your life and find that strength that you've always had. We won't judge you. We know that you want your life to be different, and if you're reading this right now— you've already taken the first step towards that freedom. There is nothing more affirming than waking up and not needing a substance to get through that day. You'll quickly learn how to shift that dependence from a substance to depending on yourself, your supports, your community. And pretty soon after, you'll find gratitude for the version of you that knew you needed this change, no matter how much you told yourself you didn't want it at first. We do this because we can see your potential before you are able to. We know it's scary and we know it won't be easy, but we promise it will be worth it.

We've got you, and we know you've got this. Because We Care.

Drug & Alcohol Treatment Programs

Our programs at Royal Life Centers in Arizona were crafted thoughtfully by clinicians and medical professionals who understand the recovery process from addiction. In each program, you will find structured support that provides you with the tools and skills you need to get and stay sober.

Medical Detox

8 Days

A medically-assisted detox program, that ranges in length from 4 to 8 days, depending on your withdrawal symptoms. Daily therapy is included during detox. Our detox program will include medications that our doctor will prescribe to keep you safe and comfortable during the detox process. We offer a private bedroom option to provide you with the utmost comfort and relaxation during your detox.

Inpatient Program

14-30 Days

Our residential inpatient program ranges from 14 to 30 days. This is our most therapeutically-structured and intensive program, with 5 hours of therapy/day. During this program, you will be living and attending therapy with peers of the same gender. Our men's program takes place in a male-only facility, while our women's program is in a female-only facility. This prevents distractions during treatment, among other benefits.

IOP/OP

1-6 Months

We offer both intensive outpatient and outpatient programs. Intensive outpatient (IOP) is the perfect next step after inpatient treatment. IOP provides more freedom while still maintaining structure and skill-building. Our outpatient program is the least restrictive, most flexible treatment option. Designed for those who are currently working and already have support systems in place. This program is co-ed.

Bring your car if you're living in our sober residences for freedom to productively use your downtime. Explore nature with your peers, attend 12-step meetings or other support groups, spend quality time with peers and friends, etc.

Our drug and alcohol treatment has telehealth and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) options. Treating alcoholism using an MAT approach involves medication-assistance with Campral™ (generic name acamprosate) or Vivitrol™ (generic name Naltrexone). Treating opioid addiction with MAT is with Suboxone™, Subutex™, or Vivitrol™.
More information for our MAT services during our treatment programs can be found further down on this page.

Specialty Programs

At Royal Life Centers, we customize your therapy sessions and our therapeutic offerings to meet your individual needs. Valor Program

For military veterans or active duty military personnel.

Native Program

For tribal members who benefit from building a foundation for recovery upon cultural values and beliefs.

Chronic Relapser

Our IOP/OP program that offers longer-term treatment for those who need structured support after inpatient treatment.

The best inpatient programs for drug and alcohol addiction

MAT option

At Royal, we offer a medication-assisted treatment (MAT) option during all of our programs, including residential inpatient and our outpatient programs too. This is a helpful avenue for managing cravings and is especially helpful for chronic relapsers.

Gender-specific

We chose to make our residential inpatient program gender-specific. Why? It prevents distractions, eliminates the possibility of female/male-dependency, reduces the likelihood of leaving AMA (against medical advice), and promotes a close-knit community of support and friendship.

Caring staff

The great majority of our staff members are in recovery. Being surrounded by those who have overcome their own addictions changes the treatment experience. There is no one better or more qualified to help you and give advice than those who have gone through the same process themselves.

Access to the best care, from your safe space

We are proud to offer our awarded inpatient and IOP/OP programs through telehealth. Telehealth allows for you to get treatment without disrupting your day-to-day life. Each day will be strengthened by the clinical work you do with your therapist.

You will get through this.

And we are grateful if you choose us to help you do it. Click below to call us & ask any questions you may have about treatment— we are happy to answer.

Our admissions department is open 24/7.

Medical Detox

At Royal Life Centers, we offer our structured and intensive treatment programs for addiction.

Top-Rated Medical Detox

Our medical detox program prioritizes your safety, comfort, and success in sobriety. We take a medication-assisted treatment (MAT) approach during detox, to ease symptoms of withdrawal and provide you with comfort during the process of detoxification.

Our doctors and nursing staff are very experienced in addiction medicine and have years of experience to guide your medical treatment protocol.

With over a decade of experience in helping others better their lives, we will help you recover one step at a time.

Highlights of our Detox Center

Addiction Medicine is a concentrated facet of medical practices focused on treating individuals with alcohol and substance use disorders.

Therapy

We employ master's-level clinicians to design your treatment plan and guide you through the clinical work to uncover the root causes of your substance abuse.

Some of the therapies we use to achieve this include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Holistic Therapies (yoga, breathwork, meditation).

Chapter 5
Did you know

Our medical detox program involves intensive clinical care alongside your medical treatment, which is unfortunately not a common practice. Therapy sessions begin on day one of detox, because our ultimate goal is to uncover the root cause(s) of alcoholism or addiction. We seek to treat the underlying causes so that we can correct the thoughts and feelings that motivate alcohol use. From over a decade of treating people, we find that focusing on correcting the true problem will work to prevent the behavior.

Our Medical Detox Program
for Drugs and Alcohol

Why you would need a medical detox program and exactly how we help you through your withdrawals.

Our medical detox program for drugs and alcohol is carefully designed to support you medically and clinically as you take your first step into recovery. Our detox program has been upheld by both medical excellence and superior clinical care for over a decade. Our medical professionals are on-site 24 hours a day, ensuring your safety and comfort during the detox process.

With alcohol and benzodiazepines in particular, it is imperative that you seek professional help when making the decision to discontinue these substances. This is especially true if you have been abusing them long-term, as your body is likely to have developed a physical dependence. Long-term alcohol or benzo abuse causes the body to depend on these substances to function. What this means for you is that if you decide to quit, the body will enter a phase of withdrawal. Alcohol and Benzodiazepine withdrawal is one of the most dangerous withdrawal processes, because some of the resulting symptoms are life-threatening. The withdrawal process is what we treat during our medical detox program. Many other substances cause a withdrawal process, including opiates, fentanyl, prescription opioids, amphetamines, etc.

Our drug or alcohol detox program begins with a detailed evaluation and assessment to understand your medical history, any current medical conditions, the presence of any psychological conditions or co-occurring disorders, and more information that can impact your treatment. Our evaluation and assessment provide a foundation for the customized detox protocol our medical and clinical team will devise with you. We do provide detox medication in order to help you detox safely, efficiently, and comfortably.

Confidential

Your information and presence in our treatment program(s) is kept strictly confidential. We adhere to strict HIPAA policies to ensure your private information stays private—before, during, & after treatment.

Professional

You will be met with professionalism and dignity at all points during and after treatment.

Knowledgable

We stay informed with recent, relevant advancements in the field of addiction treatment to ensure that you are receiving the most dialed-in care possible.

Support

We provide unparalleled support at every level of care, offering you daily sessions with a mental health counselor in addition to group therapy sessions and individual therapy sessions. Additionally, behavioral health techs are always available to talk and provide support.

A Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Center

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) means that we provide FDA-approved medications, under medical supervision, used to treat alcohol use disorder or opioid use disorder. MAT only occurs alongside our comprehensive behavioral therapies and other therapeutic care.

We offer maintenance programs within our treatment programming. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is a great option for many people who have tried getting and staying sober before, but were unable to maintain sobriety long-term. MAT is also helpful for those who experience post-acute withdrawal syndrome (PAWS). PAWS is essentially a psychosomatic extension of withdrawal symptoms, except these symptoms last for 3-6 months and make it really hard to maintain sobriety due to the discomfort and strength of drug or alcohol cravings. Talk to one of our specialists and together we can decide what will work best for you.

MAT Medications we utilize at Royal Life Centers

We use only FDA-approved medications for medication-assisted treatment. MAT at Royal is designed to support an MAT approach for individuals with an opioid use disorder or alcohol use disorder. These medications are approved to treat only these two substance use disorders, currently.

For Opioid Use Disorder
(OUD)

For Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) + Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD)

For Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD)

Suboxone

A buprenorphine-based medication with naloxone (opioid antagonist) added to block the effects of opioids. It attaches to the opioid receptor in the brain and blocks it.

Subutex

A derivative of Suboxone without the addition of Naloxone. Subutex is a buprenorphine-based, partial agonist used for those who have an allergy to Naloxone.

Naltrexone

An opioid antagonist, which means it blocks the opioid receptor in the brain. Most people recognize naltrexone by the brand name Vivitrol©

Campral

An oral medication for the treatment of AUD. Campral (generic Acamprosate) works by reducing cravings by making the behavior of drinking alcohol unappealing.

"From intake to care, proper, knowledgeable and caring medical staff that gave individual care to everyone there; it made such a hard thing (going through detox) so comfortable. Loved that we all had our own rooms, snacks available at all times, smoke breaks when we need it, amazing counselors, speakers in intimate groups. The staff have such personal knowledge of what you may be going through that there is compassion and love. This gave me the reset that I needed when I thought that I was going to die. I can’t say enough good things about this place (even through this COVID stuff) they handle everything with efficiency, cleanliness and caring. I will only recommend Royal Life Centers to anyone who asks. 💜 Much love and respect to all the staff, chef, nurses, crew, maintenance, group leaders, nighttime staff and independent inspiring speakers that came in on their own time!!"

"This place is great the whole staff was awesome and all the residents were there too I definitely recommend going. I went through a lot of treatment centers in the VA and they always let us have our phones and I'm so glad that they actually take them here away cuz it's such a distraction when you're trying to concentrate on yourself. The food was great and you get your own room too also they live by their motto and they do care. Thank you guys again!"

"This place saved my life. I had lost the will to live and was reading these reviews just like you are now and decided to check myself in. It was the best decision I have ever made. The people at Royal genuinely care about you and the majority of the staff have a personal understanding of addiction and its horrible toll. Their sympathy and caring can not be conveyed with simple words. The Royal program is extensive and well thought out and can change you so thoroughly the results can be breathtaking. Royal gave me my life back. Gave me my kids back. Gave me my job back. Gave me Me back. No matter how broken you are, how hopeless you've become there is a way back and these people can put you back together again if you let them. An awesome life is waiting for you if you want it!"

"I am an alumni of Chapter 5, and I am so grateful for everything they have done for me. The staff are helpful, supportive, and professional. This program is structured in a great way. The housing team and clinical team work together to set each client up for success. I really felt cared about. I was able to learn how to balance recovery, responsibility, work, and of course, fun. They did a great job preparing me for my transition out of treatment. Chapter 5 helped me to start rebuilding my life, and I wouldn't be celebrating 14 months of sobriety today without them."

"This place was by far the most amazing Treatment Center and detox that anyone could ever hope for! The staff is absolutely amazing they truly genuinely care about your well being I am beyond grateful for every single one of them! They dont allow you to not feel uncomfortable. If detoxing from opiates you can choose to do a suboxone taper and its the best option by far so when u leave your not on any mind altering substance and for me thats what i wanted more then anything to truly be 100% clean! They helped me achieve that when i wasnt capable of doing it on my own. Thank you royal life center for helping me get myself back and my family words cant explain how grateful I am for each and every one of you!"

"I have no idea what to say to do this place justice. Do they have some minor issues that they are working though of course. But in general this place is Amazing! The staff from the boss to the chefs where such kind and caring people! The main staff members that run the front desk and keep track of everyone (I forgot their title) are so awesome they have such big hearts and are always there to help if you need anything! I'm not sure if I am allowed to say staff names so to be safe I won't, but my counselor (I hope she reads this) was so amazing she helped me so much. And I have to mention the male night staff person that is 19 years old, he helped me see life though my kids eyes and that made a huge difference in me wanting to stay sober. Thank you so much Royals and hope to be back in the future to see about volunteering."

"Royal Life Centers of Spokane, was an amazing rehabilitation experience, The staff there truly cares about each individuals wellbeing and understand the long tedious process on the road to recovery. The programs that they have help you understand addiction as well as showing you the endless joy that comes along with sobriety. The detox center was amazing and the food was excellent, But the real growth starts within their 9 week program and Graduate aftercare. The whole experience at Royal Life Centers was truly a blessing at the lowest point in my life. I spent 14 months in their hand from detox to their graduate housing and aftercare. Today I am 2 years and 4 months clean thanks to My Royal life family."

"Here at Royal you are a guest, not a patient. They treat you with respect and are willing to help you with any means necessary. The staff here is consistent about checking in with you on not only your progress at the program but how you are feeling as a person, emotionally, physically and mentally. Including caring for your everyday needs, the other guests become your brothers and sisters as we are all here for the same reason, to become a better version of ourselves. Giving you the tools to create your own future and helping you step into a fast pace world. "There is only one thing that matters about a treatment center and that is what results they get for the people staying there. In my case I was able to connect with some excellent professionals who were able to get me to think differently... they convinced me to hang in there day by day as ill as I was, and then to move on to the next level of the Royal treatment which is where I am learning to live properly again. These people really do care about each individual. This treatment is more effective than many more fancy programs and is excellent for alcoholics and addicts alike. I would recommend no other place for recovery."

"Bottom line is, change comes from within, you gotta be the one to light that flame, there is no perfect facility, no magic pills, no magician who can cast away your problems. That being said Royal is a good place with caring staff who do their best to make this process as easy as it can be. They provide a safe, drug free environment with education and nutrition to get you on your way. They will lay the tools at your feet, expose you to experience, strength, and , hope, but your recovery is your responsibility! If you want these tools, and the help to get a good head start on changing your life, then I recommend Royal for you. So if your ready to attack your problems with a warriors mentality, Royal will stand along side you in this battle!"

I walked in with the belief I was going to learn how to deal with my addiction, but left realizing I had core issues which I needed to cope with and the addiction was a side affect of those issues. "Wow! When a company adopts a motto like "Because We Care", it leaves the door open for a fair amount of criticism. Well, the team at Royal Life Centers lives and breathes this precept on a daily basis.

I arrived at RLC 92 days ago; broken, depressed, hopeless and physically sick. I wasn't suicidal but had no desire to move forward with life...Upon completion [of detox] I moved over to the nine-week program which helps provide a smooth transition from the more structured residential inpatient to the more flexible outpatient. This is where the training wheels came off and I started to live life again.

I attended fewer but more intense groups, found a sponsor through one of the facilitators, attended daily 12 step meetings, had the opportunity to receive BioFeedback Therapy & it was awesome, hiked all over Prescott in Krista's Outdoor Adventure Group, learned some life skills with Steve and had life-changing one on one sessions with Gary...

One of the things I have enjoyed the most during my stay at RLC is the accommodations and the staff who tends to them. It is not just the facilitators who embody the "Because We Care" motto, it is everyone, the housing & transportation ....medical and maintenance team all live and breathe this just as much as the group leaders and therapists do. The houses themselves, are clean and in safe neighborhoods (close to Downtown); and are equipped with high speed WiFi and Flat Screen Televisions in all the rooms...Thank You Royal Life Centers, you and your “Because We Care” approach saved my life."

Where we believe everybody deserves to be living their dream life.

We believe that overcoming past and present adversity serves as an asset that allows for self-growth and the changing of behaviors.

We aim to shift guests’ perspective from seeing addiction as a life sentence to seeing recovery as an inquisitive, unique and enthralling experience to find their higher selves. So, once a passion is sparked and a flame is ignited, the perceived “need” for drugs and alcohol diminishes and is replaced with a craving to experience life with clarity. Guests gain the self-love and self-respect to finally want a better way of life because they realize they deserve to grow and flourish in the world. “Because We Care,” not only do we teach individuals how to reclaim their lives, we empower them to re-integrate the forgotten parts of self in order to attain self-reliance.
