At Royal Life Centers, we believe that recovery is a journey of healing for the whole family. When a loved one enters addiction treatment, the entire family system has an opportunity to grow, heal, and rebuild trust. We embrace a holistic approach that treats the whole person, and we understand that restoring healthy family connections is a vital part of long-term wellness.
Our family visitation policies are designed to support your loved one’s clinical progress while providing a safe, welcoming space for you to reconnect.
The Importance of Family in the Recovery Process
Overcoming a substance use disorder is not just about stopping drug or alcohol use. It is about rebuilding a life that feels whole and purposeful. When families participate in the recovery process, the outcomes are significantly better for everyone involved.
Benefits of family involvement include:
- Better Communication: Learn new, healthy ways to share feelings and set boundaries.
- A Stronger Support System: Create a nurturing home environment for life after treatment.
- Mutual Healing: Family members get the chance to heal from past stress and trauma.
- Increased Hope: Sharing positive milestones brings clarity and happiness to the whole family.
General Guidelines for Family Visits
We treat each guest as a unique individual deserving of respect, dignity, and a tailored treatment plan. Because of this, visitation approvals are based on each person’s specific clinical needs and progress.
To ensure a safe and focused environment, please keep the following in mind for all locations:
- Clinical Approval: Guests must be clinically cleared by their core therapist or counselor before receiving visitors.
- Release of Information (ROI): We strictly protect our guests’ privacy. Your loved one must sign an ROI for you before we can confirm their presence or arrange a visit.
- Virtual Options: If you live out of state or cannot travel, we offer virtual visitation via Microsoft Teams and phone sessions, pending counselor approval.
- Safe Environment: To protect the recovery community, any violation of visitation rules may result in a loss of visiting privileges.
Arizona and Washington Location Visitation Policies
Our Arizona facilities provide compassionate treatment across various levels of care. Visitation schedules depend on the specific location and the program your loved one is attending.
If your loved one is staying at one of our rehab locations, please reach out directly to their primary counselor or case manager to discuss the best ways to connect, whether through phone sessions, virtual visits, or clinically approved in-person meetings.
