Drug Detox Services

Drug detox services have two basic divisions:

  1. Medical detoxification from the pay-back of using drugs
  2. Recovery-sensitive drug detoxification from being chronically inhabited with negative feelings to being gratefully predominantly steeped in positive thought

Medical detoxification from the pay-back of using drugs includes:

  • Consent to treatment
  • Many admission forms
  • Medical history and physical
  • Pertinent blood work and urine testing
  • Medication-assistance detox where indicated
  • Medication for the residual effects of substance abuse
  • Detox doctor’s orders

Recovery-sensitive detoxification from being chronically inhabited with negative feelings to being predominantly steeped in positive thought:

This is reminiscent of what several of my multiple personality disordered (now known as Dissociative Identity Disorder or DID) patients have said: “We are all multiples,” meaning we each have different and distinct personality traits within us that have the therapeutic potential of rolling from self-damaging feelings to self-fulfilling feelings.

Recovery-sensitive drug detox is finding within the:

  1. Rejecting Personality who insists that you absolutely do not belong in drug detox and replace that venomous-to-your-spirit snake with your Acceptance Personality that drug detox is the very best place for you now
  2. Doesn’t-do-well-with-surprises Personality and replacing that mood-irritating terrorist with your Expect-the-unexpected Personality
  3. Doubting Personality and replacing that “my addiction is me” attitude with your Addiction-is-a-disease Personality
  4. I-know-myself-better-than-others Personality and replacing that blind-confidence with your I-can-see-my-self-better-through-the-eyes-of-others-than-strictly-through-my-own-eyes Personality
  5. I-can-handle-this-myself Personality and replacing that crippling criminal with your It’s-okay-to-seek-support Personality
  6. Salmon Personality and replacing that upstream-swimming maniac with your White-water-rafter Personality
  7. Denial Personality and replacing that give-me-another-hit crazy-man with your Let’s-hear-what-the-pros-have-to-say-about-my-illness Personality
  8. Terminal-uniqueness Personality and replacing that coroner-creep with your My-disease-is-not-one-of-a-kind Personality
  9. Stuff-those-feelings Personality and replacing that masochistic-sorcerer with your Expressing-your-real-feelings Personality
  10. My-friends-are-all-good Personality and replacing that disasterous deceiver with your Acknowledging-warped-relationships Personality
  11. I-do-better-one-on-one Personality and replacing that easier-to-con-one-person-than many with your Can’t-fool-myself-in-group-therapy Personality
  12. Trickster/prankster/manipulator Personality and replacing that enemy within with your Honest Personality
  13. It’s-other-peoples-fault Personality and replacing that heartburning victim position with your Taking-responsibility-for-my-own-shortcomings Personality
  14. Too-many-concerns-outside-of-recovery Personality and replacing the coffin-lovin’ cabron with your Recovery-first Personality
  15. Talks-too-much Personality and replacing that rotten recovery-ship’s-anchor with your Better-listener Personality
  16. Constantly-testing-or-breaking-rules Personality and replacing that death-wish witch with your Follow-the-beacons-to-recovery Personality
  17. And the numbers of personalities needing to metamorphosize go well into the 3 digits but the journey is pleasant and more readily enables you to live an ambulatory and vital life to 3 digits (i.e. 100 years old) and more

Drug detox services are the pleasant transformative answer to misery riddled drug dependence.
